Dune, by Cryo Interactive, is one of the Dune computer games. It was the first attempt of making a commercial game based on Frank Herbert's Dune universe. Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. I want the Dune made by Cryo Interactive (French) and published by Virgin Interactive. I don't care much for the others (even though the other Dune is a great piece of gaming history). It's an amazing old game with an epic epic epic soundtrack and slick visuals (holds up very well to time), and interesting gameplay.

The CD rom version please which is quite nicer. I finished this game maybe 100 times but still enjoy to play it!

Here on BGG it lists the play time as 1-3 hours. I could swear that when I played it in the past a 3 hour game would have been considered a very short game. A few caveats:
I don't think we ever played with less than 5, but usually with 6 people.
I don't think I ever played it where more than 4 people had played it before. In other words, even on a good day we had 1 or 2 new players, usually more.
I am referring to the original version of the game, sometimes with one or both of the AH expansions. Beyond that, no alternate rules or components.
We didn't use timers or rush people through their turns.

With all that in mind, is my memory failing me? In other words is my memory of a 3 hour game as an unusually short game of Dune false?
On the other hand what would you consider a long game to be? I am thinking there were occasions where we went maybe as long as 6 hours. Maybe the longest ever for us might have even been 7 but I'm even less sure of my memory on this one.
Add those together(3+6) and that put's our average game length at ~4.5 hours, how does that sound to you?
